Walmart; FREE Dish Soap, Green Beans

I had to get to Walmart today to get a few basics I was out of: vanilla, shortening (I have the BEST tortilla recipe using this), powdered dish soap, and Pam. Unfortunately, Wamart has the best prices on these things. I hate Walmart. Just thinking about my trip annoys me.

Total Spent: $11.85

I went to the Orem Walmart and their marshmallows are $.88, a pretty good price. That's what Winco has had the off brand for the last month or so.

The green beans were free. I price matched the veggies from Maceys at $1/3 and used the $1/3 coupon from the paper yesterday. I get 3 papers and the coupon was in the RP and the Parade magazine, which is another insert. The sale at Macey's ends Tuesday night, FYI, so if you want this deal, do it now. Any ideas of what to do with green beans besides microwaving them plain or using them in Green Bean Casserole?

The Gain dish soap was free. It's $.97 and there's a $1 coupon in the PG from yesterday's newspaper.

Money Left for the Month (today): $44.19

  1. So if you have extra money does it carry over to next month?

  2. Shepherds Pie. Mashed Potatoes, ground beef, the green beans and cheese. Simple, but I love it. Just google a recipe for it specifically.

  3. You have to go to the Springville Wal-Mart. Orem is ghetto. :) And one of our good friends is the manager there, and I tell him that all the time. Maybe I just think he's our friend...he probably doesn't like me. :)

Do you know what SOS or Hamburger Gravy is? You serve it over mashed potatoes. You can mix green beans in that and it's yummy.
