Smiths 71% Off: FREE Dawn, Pasta, $.09 Bounty, $.24 Warm Delights

Items pictured but being returned: 2 mustards (rang up at $2.99 instead of $1.25) and 2 Welch's drinks (rang up $2.38 instead of $1.99) I'm keeping one of these- Sam had a cupful before I even had all the groceries out of the car.

Apparently these are priced lower at the stores closer to Winco and Ridleys.

Retails: $43.29
Total Spent: $12.55
Percent Off: 71%
I paid using a $5 catalina I got last week buying stuff for my family reunion. I feel happy as can be doing this as I am donating quite a few things from my stockpile to the reunion.

How did I do it?

Smiths is running a Rounding Up promotion today (wed) through Sat. Any coupon under $1 will round up to a dollar, so a $.25 coupon is magically a $1 coupon. The registers do it automatically at checkout. If you haven't gone already, I would call and find out when your store restocks and go then. I was there at 6:30 this morning and almost 1/2 of what I was looking for was gone.

  1. hi I dont know if my comment saved. But I just wrote that this was a great post. And my husband Jon is the one that just sent me your blog. He and Matt are good grad school buddies and we look forward to meeting you at the little get together their program is having in August.

  2. Hi Joy. I'm trying to do this right now...2nd time ever doing this really. So can I use any of the smith coupons (the online ones you listed) on top of a manufacturer coupon? angellsworth@gmail.com

  3. Yes. It's actually become a matter of debate this week as to if we SHOULD. Different people have called corporate Smiths and have gotten different responses. As of now, I'm still doing it.

If your store is anything like mine, it is probably pretty picked over. Make sure you find out when they restock and go then. Don't be afraid to ask stockers if they have any of what you're looking for that they haven't unloaded yet. It can be pretty frustrating to go through a ton of prep work and then not find what you're looking for. Good luck!

If you have any questions about any of this couponing stuff, get my number from Matt. I would love to talk!
