It is 11 at night and everyone is asleep. I should be too but I just keep thinking about this peanut butter ice cream sauce. Darn it all. I'm supposed to be loosing weight right now!

It's just that it says it only takes a few minutes to make and you make it in the microwave. The MICROWAVE! That means one dirty dish.

I'm sure it's not that good.

It couldn't be.

I think I'm going to have to find out.

P.S. someone said in the comments of the recipe post that it is good with marshmallow cream too. I have marshmallow cream! Darn it all!!!

$3.16. This is bad.

Couple Points of Reflection:

• I have $3.16 left. For the month. It's the 13th. AND I just upped my budget this month too.
• I'm counting on my Rite Aid rebate to get here before the end of the month to save me.
• Why did I have to spend so much at Walmart on the 1st?!!
• Darn these case lot sales and their enticing canned goods!
• I'm so glad I have a budget that I have to report to all 4 of you that read this. Otherwise I would be even worse with blowing money. Yikes.
• Did I mention that I'm bad with money? Just ask my mom and dad...

I hit Maceys today. I really should have hit my house- cleaned it- but how fun is that? As a side note, I've been dejunking and today I realized that I have 11 deodorants. Eleven. For me. How long will it take me to get to number 11? What a great problem to have. I love couponing!

I am a wipes disaster! I have no idea how we go through so many wipes so quickly. I swear, I really am stingy with them! I am constantly on the look out for a good deal on them.

These Soffs wipes, 80 count, are on sale at Maceys through next Tuesday night for $.78. That's just under a penny a wipe!

As of December 09 Costcos prices on wipes were:

Huggies Wipes 1000ct $23.99 (.024 each)
Kirkland Wipes 900ct $18.99 (.021 each)

The Soffs are 1/2 the price of the Costco ones.

Has anyone used these bad boys before? How do they measure up? They are just wipes, for heaven sake, but are they ok?

Smiths

I made a last minute change: I decided to get flour at Smiths instead of Maceys. I'm just lazy! I really like having the flour in the 5 pound bags. I have the buckets to store the bulk stuff but because my house is so small, they have to go under the stairs behind the dog kennel and it's just a pain to refill my flour, or anything else for that matter. If I have the bags I can leave out a few and not have to take my downstairs apart every time I need more flour. And that is my full and complete reasoning behind paying more for the flour. Because it matters and you care. Sorry.

If I were you, I would just go ahead and skip anything that has more than one line of text. Boring!

the prudent homemaker

I have just found a woman I want to be like when I grow up: thePrudentHomemaker! She has an amazing website. She's got a family of 8 and lives primarily off her food storage and garden. The picture above is from her food storage. She's got lots of recipes and menus based off of using what she has.

Turns out they weren't in a position to go grocery shopping for 8 months! For anything. For the next year and a half they were only able to go a few times.

Not shopping is depressing to me as it is my very favorite thing to do (pathetically) but I LOVE the idea of living off what I have.

Skippy Peanut Butter

Smiths has this peanut butter on sale this week as part of their case lot sale for $1.30 each. You can buy them at this price individually which isn't usually the case with Smiths. There's a $.75/2 coupon in the RP 3/28, making them $.93 each, a pretty good price. But when you buy 10 and scan your Fresh Values card a credit prints for either a FREE movie ticket, 15 ringtones, or 15 music downloads! Sweet!

Just make sure you buy the peanut butter individually and not as a case or the credit won't print- it counts the case as 1 item.

FYI: I'm not getting any. I get peanut butter for free with WIC.
